The Gaga Diet
1. The Gaga Diet
Wakeup: 2-10 oz. glasses of warm water with 1/8 wedge of lemon
Breakfast
-apple, banana, peach, blueberry and slippery elm smoothie (i.e. fruit mushed
up in a blender), 750 mg of mineral ascorbates (the good kind of vitamin C), dash of organic vanilla and occasionally a tablespoon of kefir.
-1/2 hr later: 2 or 3 1 inch thick slices of organic sprouted wheat bread with organic tahini (sesame seed paste)
-1 cup of very strong columbian coffee, black (no, not Starbuck's fake strong. The strength is controlled by the ratio of coffee to water--lots of coffee, a little water. The coffee is the cheap, generic no name columbian stuff).
Lunch
-1 ganmo burger ("ganmo" is from the Japanese, it's a mix of organic tofu, yams, carrots, and onions) on 100% German whole rye and flaxseed bread (unleavened), garnished with organic mustard, a slice of organic tomato and organic white onion. No sat.
Dinner
-A handful of organic broccoli flowerettes and leaves, a handful of cauliflower, 4-5 organic garlic cloves- unpeeled,
1 /2" piece of organic ginger, all combined and steamed lightly, served with 1 tablespoon of organic shoyu and 1 tablespoon of organic olive oil.
-1 ganmo burger (see lunch)
After dinner snack (only when there is a Montreal Expos baseball game or an Ottawa Senators hockey game on TV)
-1/4 cup of popcorn popped in an air popper
-2 tablespoons of melted butter
-pinch of unrefined sea salt and/or "good tasting" yeast
-2-4 beers, made from Northern Ontario water with an alcohol content of 4%.
Throughout the day Gaga drinks at least 10 glasses of room-temperature water with a little 100% cranberry/grape juice added for flavor.
In August, Gaga's diet has expanded substantially to include Frito-Lay's Cheetos and Doritos while watching baseball (nope- no sour cream 'n onion chips however). Gaga rarely eats at restaurants, but when he does, he is known to like vegetarian Nachos, or a veggie burger and fries.
